The second ever match in the history of the Azur Gaels is to take place at the Allianz Riviera in Nice.
This mini-match, lasting 14 minutes, will be played out in front of a crowd estimated at 35,000 people, in one of the Euro 2016 host stadia.
This will be a gaelic football demonstration match, a curtain-raiser to the RC Toulon v Stade Français Top 14 rugby match – the Champions of Europe against the Champions of France.
Despite the fact the club’s only existed for 4 months.
How is that possible? Well, we were invited by RCT of course!
Which goes to show that gaelic football isn’t quite so unheard of in France after all. And we’re going to do our utmost to showcase the sport even more, on the occasion of this internationally-renowned spectacle. Because we love it.
Azur Gaels Abú !
